80 days left until the start of the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan

There are 80 days left until the start of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024, which will be held in Tashkent, Andijan and Bukhara, the press service of the Football Association of Uzbekistan writes.
The tournament will take place from 14 September to 6 October, and 24 of the world's strongest teams will compete for the title of champion.
The draw for the World Championship took place on 26 May in Samarkand, and six groups of four teams were formed. The top two teams in each group and the top four third-place winners will advance to the playoffs.
Futsal World Cup groups:
Group A: Uzbekistan, Netherlands, Paraguay, Costa Rica
Group B: Brazil, Cuba, Croatia, Thailand
Group C: Argentina, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Angola
Group D: Spain, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Libya
Group E: Portugal (reigning champion), Panama, Tajikistan, Morocco
Group F: Iran, France, Guatemala, Venezuela
Mini football, or FIFA futsal, is a team sport, one of the varieties of football, competitions in which are held under the auspices of FIFA. In essence, it is a smaller version of regular European football. In mini-football, the pitch and the goal are half as small, and the ball is lighter. A team consists of four field players and a goalkeeper, the match duration is two periods of twenty minutes each.
