These are not dry chronicles or archival records, but real stories collected by students of the Uzbek State University of Language and Literature. They personally met with veterans, visited their homes, listened attentively to their memories, and carefully transferred what they heard to the pages of the book.

The idea for the project was born from a simple but anxious feeling - the realization that we are losing the living witnesses of those terrible years. "If not us, then who? If not now, then when?" - it was with this question that the work on the book began.

"Xotira nuri" is not just a collection of stories. It is a bridge between generations, an expression of respect through words, and an attempt to preserve the courage of the past for the future. This is a step towards ensuring that the memory of war never vanishes into silence.

The authors of the book express their gratitude to everyone who participated in this work and invite everyone to share their family stories and memories. After all, every destiny has its own voice, which must also be heard.
