Uzbekistan
With the participation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex hosted a ceremony to launch its third copper processing plant — one of the largest industrial projects of recent years with an investment of $2.7 billion.
Uzbekistan continues implementing large-scale investment projects in industry, energy, infrastructure, and services. Ahead of the holidays Eid al-Fitr and Nowruz, new enterprises, residential complexes, educational and medical facilities, as well as tourism and cultural sites are being commissioned across various regions of the country.
One of the key projects is the launch of the third copper processing plant at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony.
The head of state noted that the projects being implemented in the country are aimed at accelerating economic development, creating new jobs, and improving the well-being of the population.
The new industrial complex, valued at $2.7 billion, represents a modern high-tech facility that will significantly increase raw material processing capacity, improve the efficiency of copper extraction, and strengthen the country’s industrial potential.
The project is also seen as an important step in the development of the mining and metallurgical sector and in expanding Uzbekistan’s export opportunities.
