Amir Temur, who united Maverannahr into a single state, created a powerful empire with its capital in Samarkand. He established legal norms for governing the state through his world-famous "Temurid Codes" and made an invaluable contribution to the development of science and culture, laying the foundation for the Second Renaissance—the Timurid Renaissance.

The priceless architectural monuments erected during his reign serve as a source of national pride and an enduring historical legacy for our people.

The wise words of our ancestor—"Let justice be our companion and guide in all our endeavors"—are vividly reflected in the reforms being carried out today in the New Uzbekistan.

To widely celebrate the 690th anniversary of this great figure's birth, the President signed a corresponding decree on February 5.

According to the decree, April was declared Amir Temur Month, and meetings, roundtables, and discussions featuring Temur scholars, writers, and artists were scheduled to be held at educational institutions, research centers, and mahallas.

As part of the decree's implementation, the building of the State Museum of the History of the Temurids was reconstructed and equipped with modern devices and equipment, utilizing the best practices of renowned museums worldwide. Through digitalization, its capabilities were expanded, and the exhibition was enriched, including with exhibits acquired from international collections.

In particular, a section entitled "The Great Sahibkiran – Founder of the Second Renaissance" was organized on the museum's first floor. Interactive exhibits on the era of Amir Temur and the Temurids, powered by artificial intelligence and smart technologies, were created on the second floor. 3D exhibits and geographic maps are also on display.

While reviewing the updated exhibition at the State Museum of the History of the Timurids and the conditions created for visitors, the President emphasized the importance of studying, promoting, and preserving the legacy of our ancestors.

"We have a history and heritage the entire world can be proud of. I am pleased that the museum, which preserves the history of Sahibkiran, has been updated and has become relevant to the spirit of the times. Now our main task is to convey this to our people, young people, and foreign guests. If you ask where the knowledge necessary for the rise of the New Uzbekistan can be found, it can all be found in our heritage, in the knowledge left by our ancestors. Therefore, we need to engage young people, older generations, and the general public at the mahalla level in museums and expand their knowledge of our great history," the head of state noted.

During the visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the guest book of the State Museum of the History of the Timurids.
