A unified social card will be introduced for the convenience of the population
Uzbekistan
Currently, citizens are required to carry more than 10 documents, such as birth certificates, disability certificates, pension IDs, student IDs, and bank cards, to access 65 types of social services and assistance.
Emphasizing that it is time to put an end to this inconvenience, the President announced the introduction of a single social card that will replace all these documents.
With the social card, people will be able to travel for free on buses and the metro, receive compensation for electricity, gas, and education expenses, and social benefits and assistance payments will also be transferred to this card.
This system will be tested in Tashkent city and Yangiyul district by July 1, and will be implemented nationwide by the end of the year.
