Abdulaziz Kamilov discusses development of cooperation with the EU in Brussels

During his visit to Brussels, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan on Foreign Policy Abdulaziz Kamilov held a meeting with Director for Political Coordination and Management of the Executive Office of the President of the European Commission Zhivka Petkova. This is reported by Dunyo news agency.
The sides exchanged views on further promotion of Uzbek-European relations and development of practical interaction in the regional format.
The sides expressed interest in the soonest signing of the Agreement on Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU, initialled on 6 July 2022.
It is reported that Zhivka Petkova highly appreciated the efforts of the Uzbek side in combating climate change and mitigating its negative consequences. Support was expressed for Uzbekistan's initiative to hold the International Climate Forum this year in Samarkand.
The sides stressed the relevance of interaction in the field of critical raw materials, including through the conclusion of a relevant memorandum.
The sides also discussed the schedule of forthcoming joint bilateral and interregional events.
