In this regard, Uzbekistan's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov congratulated his Kyrgyz counterpart, Adilbek Kosimaliev, on his confirmation to the position.

It is worth noting that Adilbek Kosimaliev was appointed as Prime Minister following the dismissal of Akylbek Japarov, who had served as Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister for over three years.

The question arises: why was Akylbek Japarov dismissed? According to media reports, President Sadyr Japarov stated that the decision to remove Akylbek Japarov was made to avoid a conflict of interest in an ongoing criminal case involving the leadership and employees of the State Tax Service.

On December 3 of this year, mass arrests were conducted at all four district branches of the State Tax Service in the capital, Bishkek. It was revealed that tax officials had created a corrupt scheme that caused damage to the state budget amounting to 3.2 billion Kyrgyz som. The State Tax Service was under the oversight of former Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov, which led to his dismissal.
