Azerbaijan and the United States are entering a new stage of cooperation, President Ilham Aliyev said after signing a joint charter with US Vice President J.D. Vance. Aliyev’s official social media accounts released a video highlighting the American guest’s visit.

According to Aliyev, the charter signed by both sides outlines various areas of bilateral cooperation. In particular, they plan to continue working together in the security sector and participate jointly in counterterrorism operations.

The cooperation will also focus on energy security. Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan contributes to the energy security of 16 countries with its natural gas resources, 11 of which are NATO members and US allies.

Supporting the announcement, Aliyev’s official social media accounts released a video showcasing Vance’s visit to Azerbaijan, featuring meetings, negotiations, and joint events of the two countries’ leaders. The video emphasizes the strategic importance of bilateral relations and the expansion of partnership.
