Amazon is accused of monopoly
The US Federal Trade Commission and prosecutors in 17 states across the country have filed a lawsuit against Amazon. This was reported on the official website of the Federal Trade Commission.

The plaintiffs reportedly accuse the company of acting like a monopoly and of using unfair strategies to illegally maintain its monopoly dominance.

It is noted that Amazon tries to prevent products from being sold at prices lower than those offered. If a company discovers disproportionately high prices, it will hide its seller from Amazon product search results and eventually become invisible.

The plaintiffs also accused Amazon of misleading consumers by not explicitly separating product search results from advertising offers and by prioritizing third-party offers in search results.

The plaintiffs are asking the court to take measures to prevent Amazon's actions by recognizing their actions as a monopoly.
