Ambassador of Uzbekistan presents credentials to Austrian President

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Ibragimov presented his credentials to Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen in Vienna yesterday. This is reported by Dunyo news agency.
It is noted that within the framework of the ceremony the ambassador held a conversation with the Austrian president. There they discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
At the end of the conversation, the Austrian President congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to the new post and expressed hope that his responsible work will serve to further expand multifaceted relations between Austria and Uzbekistan.
For information: the ambassador is also officially accredited as Uzbekistan's permanent representative to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation (CTBTO), headquartered in Vienna.
Prior to his appointment to Austria in 2017-2023, Uzbekistan's new ambassador worked as the country's Permanent Representative to the UN in New York.
