"Anora" Wins the Oscar for Best Film of 2025

American director Sean Baker's film "Anora" won the Best Picture award at the 97th Academy Awards ceremony. The film also triumphed in several other categories, making it one of the biggest winners of the night.
At the ceremony held at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Sean Baker was awarded Best Director, while lead actress Mikey Madison took home the Best Actress award.
Additionally, "Anora" won in the Best Original Screenplay and Best Editing categories.
Russian actor Yura Borisov, who starred in the film, did not win in the Best Supporting Actor category, which was claimed by Kieran Culkin for his role in "A Real Pain".
