Automatic pension calculation: Uzbekistan is preparing an important reform

Сitizens will no longer have to personally apply to government agencies for an old-age pension. The corresponding draft law was considered by the Committee on Labor, Healthcare and Social Policy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
According to the initiative, pension provision will be assigned automatically - responsible agencies will calculate it themselves based on the available data on citizens' work experience and salaries. This will eliminate the need for elderly people to gather documents and submit applications to the Pension Fund, public service centers, or through interactive portals.
The reform has already received widespread support in society. Considering that all necessary information about citizens is stored in digital format, experts consider the implementation of the automated system a logical step. However, on social media, Uzbekistanis are also expressing concerns about possible system failures and errors in accruing payments.
Earlier, the Pension Fund of Uzbekistan clarified the procedure for recalculating pensions, which was another step towards improving the pension system. The upcoming changes are expected to significantly simplify the lives of future pensioners, making the payment process more convenient and transparent.
