More than 65 thousand electric cars have been registered in Uzbekistan

As of April 1, 2025, 65.2 thousand electric vehicles have been officially registered in Uzbekistan. More than 76% of them are in Tashkent - the capital.
According to the National Statistics Committee, the number of registered electric vehicles in the Republic of Uzbekistan at the beginning of the second quarter of 2025 was 65,216 units.
The capital region is the undisputed leader in the number of electric cars:
Tashkent city - 49,736 vehicles (76% of the total number);
Tashkent region - 4,512;
Samarkand region - 1,739;
Khorezm region - 1,415;
Fergana region - 1,376;
Kashkadarya region - 1,338;
Bukhara region - 1,133;
Navoi region - 901;
Andijan region - 878;
Namangan region - 700;
Republic of Karakalpakstan - 525;
Syrdarya region - 404;
Jizzakh region - 302;
Surkhandarya region - 198.
This picture reflects the high demand for electric vehicles in the capital, where infrastructure is actively developing and interest in environmentally friendly transport is increasing.
At the same time, positive dynamics are also observed in other regions, and as charging stations expand and government support increases, the electric vehicle fleet across the country is expected to grow further.
