Bahromjon Gaziev, Chairman of the Equestrian Federation of Uzbekistan, has been appointed as a member of the FEI Solidarity Group Committee — one of the key governing bodies of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), responsible for global equestrian development and support initiatives.
The decision was announced at the annual FEI General Assembly, held from November 4 to 7, 2025, in Hong Kong. Gaziev, who also serves as Vice President of both the Eurasian Equestrian Association (EEA) and the Asian Equestrian Federation (AEF), will represent the Eurasian region, which unites 11 countries. He succeeds Sadyr Mamytov, President of the National Olympic Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
The assembly brought together representatives from 134 member nations. During the event, Uzbekistan officially submitted a bid to host the FEI General Assembly 2027 in Tashkent. According to international experts, the country holds strong prospects for approval — a move that would further strengthen Uzbekistan’s standing in the global equestrian community.
The FEI Solidarity program, launched in 2011–2012 and inspired by Olympic Solidarity, aims to promote equestrian sports worldwide through financial and technical assistance, professional training, and youth development programs. The Solidarity Group Committee coordinates strategic initiatives across the FEI’s nine regional divisions.
