Uzbekistan Takes First Place at International Competition in South Korea

Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defense team has taken first place at an international scientific combat training competition in the Republic of Korea. Uzbekistan scored 316 points, finishing 104 points ahead of Cambodia and 124 points ahead of host South Korea.
Nearly 500 military personnel competed in 12 teams representing seven countries. Participants included teams from the United States, Azerbaijan, Australia and Poland. Military personnel from eight other countries, including Türkiye, Mexico, the Philippines and Malaysia, attended as observers.
The competition featured tasks in mountainous, forested and urban terrain, followed by a combined stage covering all three environments. The Uzbek team set several records during the competition.
In the mountain exercise, Uzbek personnel neutralized the simulated enemy defending its positions without casualties and captured seven flags. According to the Ministry of Defense, no team had previously achieved the same result.
In the urban exercise, the Uzbek team captured all designated facilities and seven flags, setting another competition record. During the task to hold defensive positions, the team captured seven sites and all seven flags without suffering any casualties.
Uzbekistan finished first with 316 points, followed by Cambodia with 212 and the Republic of Korea with 192. The competition has been held since 2023, and Uzbekistan’s team had also won the previous two editions.
