BBC Begins Filming Uzbekistan’s Wildlife
Uzbekistan
A film crew from BBC is currently in Uzbekistan to showcase the country’s unique nature and rare bird species to the world. They are filming a special documentary in the Navoi region, dedicated to the wildlife of Uzbekistan. This was announced on the official page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The documentary highlights the efforts of the Uzbek government to protect and preserve rare bird species for future generations. This marks the BBC team’s second visit to the country, with their first trip having taken place in April 2024.
In cooperation with its diplomatic missions abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regularly invites representatives of international media to Uzbekistan. Within this initiative, foreign journalists have the opportunity to explore and report on the country's rich natural landscapes, ancient history, unique culture, and potential in economic and social spheres.
In 2024 alone, nearly two thousand foreign journalists were accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The reports and programs they produce play a significant role in promoting a positive image of Uzbekistan on the global stage.
This visit and the filming process aim to present Uzbekistan’s natural treasures to a worldwide audience.
