The president has been emphasizing his role in promoting global stability and resolving conflicts.

During the UN General Assembly, Trump said that “everyone says he should get the Nobel Peace Prize,” recalling the Abraham Accords signed in 2020 between Israel and several Arab nations.

He also claimed that since returning to the White House in January 2025, he has helped end at least six armed conflicts, including disputes between India and Pakistan and Armenia and Azerbaijan.

According to Bloomberg, Trump discussed the Nobel issue with U.S. generals and admirals, saying the committee would “give the award to some guy who did nothing.”

His administration officials — special envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio — have reportedly raised the topic with European counterparts.

The Nobel Committee in Oslo stated it has not faced direct pressure but acknowledged observing “several public and private campaigns” ahead of the final decision.
