An underground drug laboratory organized by a 22-year-old chemistry student and his 18-year-old girlfriend has been dismantled in Tashkent. Authorities say the operation was run from an ordinary rented apartment.
Law enforcement officers in Tashkent’s Mirzo-Ulugbek district uncovered a clandestine drug laboratory organized by a 22-year-old chemistry student and an 18-year-old woman.
Investigators say the production of synthetic drugs was carried out in a rented apartment. During the search, officers seized about one kilogram of mephedrone and equipment used to produce it.
Another kilogram of drugs was found in the Yangihayot district, hidden in a stash using the “dead drop” method.
In total, 15 people were detained in connection with the case, including students involved in distribution. Authorities estimate the seized drugs amount to around 10,000 doses.
