Children in foster care and orphanages will be returned to a family environment

It was reported that in the current year, 300 children were returned to a family environment from foster care and orphanages, and there are currently another 500 children receiving education and upbringing outside of family settings. The responsible authorities were tasked with placing 500 children in family-style orphanages based on the experience of the National Guard and creating conditions for their education.
The list of specialized schools for children without supervision or care will be reviewed, with a 5% quota for such children. These children will be sent to these schools based on referrals from the Social Protection Agency.
In general, the coordination of ensuring quality education and returning children with disabilities and those deprived of parental care to a family environment was entrusted to Sh. Mirziyoyeva, Deputy Director of the National Social Protection Agency.
During the video-conference meeting chaired by the President, a number of tasks and measures were developed and assigned to responsible officials, which will be implemented in the active life of the population.
At the end of the meeting, the reports of the responsible officials on the discussed issues were heard.
