Chinese company EHang has set the price and sales launch date for the EH216-S aerial vehicle.

China will launch sales of aerial cars from 1 April
The unmanned vehicle with an electric motor, capable of vertical take-off and landing, will be available in China from 1 April this year at a price of 2.39 million yuan ($333 thousand).

The aerotaxi is capable of carrying two passengers for a distance of up to 30 kilometres at a speed of up to 130 km/h. It is equipped with eight parallel-mounted propellers (16 propellers in total). It is also expected to be used in tourism, for example, for sightseeing.

The aerial car was unveiled at CES back in 2016. And in October 2023, it received a certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China authorising the use of air taxis for commercial purposes. Thus, EHang has become the world's first certified air transport operator working with autonomous aerial vehicles. For now, air taxi services will only be available in China.
