Construction Boom in Uzbekistan: 79.8 Trillion Sums Worth of Work Completed in 6 Months

In the first half of 2024, Uzbekistan completed construction works worth 79.8 trillion sums. According to the Statistics Agency, this figure increased by 10.1% compared to the same period last year.
During this period, Tashkent city led with 19,288.6 billion sums worth of construction works. Tashkent region completed works worth 8,007.6 billion sums, and Bukhara region — 5,893.4 billion sums.
This growth is the result of efforts to renew and modernize the country's infrastructure. New projects and programs aimed at developing rural areas have led to significant changes in the construction sector.
Increased investments in the construction sector, the creation of new jobs, and improvements in the living conditions of the population have also borne fruit.
