Construction of a solar power plant started in Tuprakkala district

During President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Khorezm region on 29 February, a ceremony of starting the construction of a photovoltaic station was held. This is reported by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The station will save 76 million cubic metres of natural gas and prevent the emission of 106,000 tonnes of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
"I congratulate you all on these new capacities, which will breathe new life into the economy of not only Khorezm region, but also our entire country," the President said.
Earlier, 9 large solar and wind power plants with a total capacity of 2.6 gigawatts were connected to the grid in Bukhara, Jizzak, Kashkadarya, Navoi, Samarkand and Surkhandarya.
