Construction of New Navoi City Begins
A foundation-laying ceremony for the construction of New Navoi City was held with the participation of the region's governor, Normat Tusunov, sector leaders, and public representatives. The project is being implemented in accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 2, 2018, and aims to modernize the region, improve its architectural landscape, and create favorable conditions for business.

The new city will be located in the "Yoshlik" neighborhood and will cover a total area of 1,097.6 hectares. In the first phase, construction will take place on 450 hectares. The city will include modern business and residential buildings, the "New Uzbekistan" park, cultural and recreational areas, and new campuses for Navoi State Pedagogical Institute.

The project also plans to create essential facilities for residents and entrepreneurs, including a library, an artificial lake, and craft workshops. The construction work is expected to continue until 2040.

The Navoi regional administration has established a special "New Navoi City Business Center Directorate" to oversee the phased construction of all planned facilities.
