Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel visited Iran for the first time in 22 years. This was reported by Tasnim news agency.
According to it, this is the first visit of a Cuban leader to the Islamic republic since 2001, when Fidel Castro travelled to Iran.
Diaz-Canel was received by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and the two sides plan to sign a number of agreements and memorandums of co-operation following the talks.
