President Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved new steps to digitalize and modernize the customs system, aimed at accelerating cargo turnover, simplifying procedures for businesses, and introducing advanced technologies.
During the presentation on February 24, the head of state reviewed key changes in the customs sphere. In recent years, 35 digital services have been introduced, export operations have been reduced by three times, and budget revenues have increased ninefold.
Among the new initiatives are the launch of a system of "red" and "green" corridors at the border, automated analysis of X-ray images of goods using artificial intelligence, and preliminary inspection of bus passengers, which will double the speed of crossing the border.
The President instructed to bring customs legislation in line with WTO requirements, strengthen the training of personnel in the field of AI and risk analysis, and create even more conveniences for entrepreneurs and tourists.
