As part of the state visit program to Dushanbe on April 19, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kohir Rasulzoda. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

The discussions focused on further expanding Uzbek-Tajik strategic partnership and alliance relations.

The President of Uzbekistan noted that on April 18, a historic Treaty on Allied Relations was signed. In this regard, the importance of the unconditional implementation of all agreements reached at the highest level by the governments of the two countries was emphasized.

It was noted that for these purposes, it is necessary to develop a joint "road map" and organize systematic meetings between the prime ministers.

Priority tasks were identified as increasing trade turnover, developing border trade and trade infrastructure, and deepening industrial cooperation in sectors such as automotive, energy, electrical engineering, mining, textile, pharmaceutical, agricultural, and other industries.

The importance of fully utilizing the potential of the regions of the two countries, as well as expanding cultural and humanitarian exchanges, was particularly highlighted.
