Education: The Best Protection for Women
World
Saida Mirziyoyeva, had the honor of participating in a roundtable discussion in Qatar, dedicated to the International Day for Protecting Education from Attack. She expressed her gratitude to Sheikha Moza bint Nasser for the invitation and highlighted the importance of the event.
Uzbekistan prioritizes quality education, especially for women and girls, both within the country and beyond. In 2018, a vocational education center was opened in Termez, where 700 Afghan citizens, including 200 women, have received training.
For Afghan women, this is a crucial opportunity, as there is a shortage of qualified medical professionals in the country, particularly in maternal and child health care. Uzbekistan is ready to continue training Afghan women in essential professions to prevent a humanitarian crisis.
Mirziyoyeva also emphasized that the Qatari government and the "Education Above All" foundation are prepared to assist in these efforts, reiterating that education is the best protection for women.
