Deputy Prime Minister and his brother dismissed from their positions

On November 25, 2024, by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shukhrat Musojonovich Ibragimov was appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister – Head of the Prime Minister's Reception Office.
According to this decision, the previous officeholder, Ashurov Sarvar Ganiyevich, was relieved of his duties as Deputy Prime Minister – Head of the Prime Minister's Reception Office. Sarvar Ashurov is the brother of Colonel Alijon Ashurov, who had worked as the head of the Internal Security Department of the State Security Service, but, in accordance with the current decision, he was also dismissed from his position.
The dismissal of Ashurov and the appointment of Shukhrat Ibragimov to the new position is seen as a step towards improving the country's administrative processes, as well as strengthening the work of state institutions and international relations.
Shukhrat Ibragimov, who previously served as the Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers’ Secretariat, has extensive experience working with government agencies. His appointment to the new position will allow him to continue his successful career in public administration.
These changes are aimed at ensuring more effective functioning of the administrative system in Uzbekistan.
