Law enforcement authorities in Tashkent have dismantled a criminal group that planned to smuggle 71 kilograms of drugs to Russia.

According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, 71 kg of narcotics were seized from illegal circulation. Investigators believe the substances were brought into the country from a neighboring state.

The operation was reportedly coordinated by an individual residing in the Russian Federation. The group’s main objective was to transport the drugs onward to Russia.

Authorities are continuing investigative measures to identify all individuals involved and uncover the full supply chain. The Ministry emphasized that combating transnational drug trafficking remains a top priority.
