Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah was 86 years old. His brother, 83-year-old Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, will now take power.
Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah died at the age of 86. It was reported in late November that the Amir had been hospitalised due to health problems.
Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah was the 16th emir to rule the country since 29 September 2020.
In his place, the world's oldest crown prince, 83-year-old Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, will succeed him.
