Erdogan: Peace requires a Palestinian state on 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital
President Erdoğan underlined that Türkiye made a presentation to the International Court of Justice on 26 February and stated its position on various aspects of the issue.

He said that peace will not prevail in the Middle East unless there is a just solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

"The only path to lasting peace is the establishment of an independent, sovereign and geographically integrated Palestinian State on the basis of the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. It is futile, pointless and futile for the international community to attempt to deal with the consequences of the ongoing occupation. In this regard, all States concerned need to put their hands under a stone in a way that will also help the parties to the problem," he said.
