Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today makes a one-day working trip to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. This is stated in a statement by the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration.

The visit is carried out at the invitation of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. According to the statement, the leaders will discuss bilateral Turkish-Azerbaijani relations.

There will also be an exchange of views on current regional and international issues, primarily on the latest events in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.

The presidents of Turkiye and Azerbaijan are expected to take part in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Igdir-Nakhichevan gas pipeline and the opening of the modernized Nakhichevan military complex.
