EU and NATO failed to create 'military Schengen' in Europe in six years

The EU and NATO in six years have failed to create the so-called "military Schengen" in Europe, which would establish uniform standards for the transport of military cargo in all European countries. This was reported by the head of NATO's Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC), Lieutenant General Alexander Sollfrank, in an interview with Reuters.
According to him, there is no real progress in the implementation of this project.
It is reported that such a system would allow troops and heavy equipment to be moved quickly and without bureaucratic delays between EU countries, mainly from ports on the Atlantic coast, from the US and Canada, eastwards to the borders of Russia and Belarus.
Sollfrank said that in times of crisis or war it would not be possible to undo what had not been done in peacetime.
