It is noted that the number of LNG supplies to Europe, including the Baltic States, is increasing.

The largest importers are Spain and Belgium. Their purchases have increased by 50 per cent, accounting for 26.5 and 37.2 per cent of total LNG imports respectively.

Experts attribute the growing demand for Russian liquefied natural gas to the European Union's plans to decarbonise the economy. Carbon emissions are expected to be reduced by 55 per cent by 2030.
