Exporters with turnovers exceeding $50 million will be allocated $10 million

During a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, issues related to the implementation of water-saving technologies were discussed. The head of state also expressed the intention to support enterprises contributing to the creation of thousands of jobs and the export of goods.
It was noted that the implementation of water-saving technologies in the neighbourhoods of Istikbol, Nurafshon, Namuna, Galaba, which use water from the "DM-1" canal in the Zarbdar district, could result in export revenue of $28 million by growing and processing melons on 1 thousand hectares of farmland, as well as on 3 thousand hectares allocated for the youth of the district. The importance of expanding such irrigation systems in the Zamin district was emphasized.
The head of state stated his readiness to support enterprises creating thousands of jobs and exporting goods. It was officially instructed to allocate resources up to $10 million for enterprises with export volumes exceeding $50 million.
The President also outlined the main tasks for the region. In Jizzakh, it was decided to attract leading entrepreneur-exporters to 309 districts for the development of homesteads.
Banks will provide loans to leading entrepreneurs up to 1.5 billion sums for a period of up to 3 years. In addition, grants of up to 1 billion sums will be provided from the budget to attract agronomists, organize training, establish collection, storage, and drying points in neighbourhoods, as well as 33 million sums will be allocated within the family entrepreneurship program and 17 million sums within the "First Step in Business" program.
