Authorities in Namangan have shut down a major counterfeit drug operation, seizing 1.4 billion sums’ worth of fake pharmaceuticals from a warehouse.
Law enforcement officers in Namangan region discovered a warehouse storing a large batch of counterfeit medicines. More than 1,300 types of drugs prepared for sale were confiscated.
According to the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor’s Office, a criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
