Favorable conditions for public leisure and business development are being created in Nukus
Uzbekistan
During his visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev took a walk along a renovated street in the city of Nukus.
The improvement of Garezsizlik, S. Kamalov, and G. Sheraziyeva streets has created a comfortable environment for residents and visitors to relax, while also enabling retail and entertainment venues to operate around the clock.
A total of 2.2 billion soums was allocated for these projects. A 2.5-kilometer stretch of roadway was repaired, and the associated infrastructure was upgraded.
Pedestrian walkways were laid out, and benches and trash bins were installed. Energy-efficient, solar-powered streetlights were installed to illuminate the area at night. To manage rainwater and prevent pooling, a new 1.5-kilometer drainage network was constructed, and existing systems were modernized.
These improvements have also revitalized entrepreneurial activity. Eight new businesses have launched operations in the area, and ten others have expanded their activities, resulting in the creation of 75 new jobs.
While walking along the street, the Head of State engaged in warm conversations with the public, emphasized that the peace prevailing in our country is our most precious asset, and extended his best wishes.
