FIFA lifts ban on Russian youth teams
The International Football Federation (FIFA) has lifted the ban on the participation of Russian youth teams in competitions under the auspices of the organization. The FIFA press service explained on October 4 that the relevant decision was taken by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) after a similar move.

On September 26, UEFA announced that Russian teams with players under the age of 17 would be allowed to compete under a neutral flag and without playing the Russian anthem. FIFA imposed similar conditions for the return of Russian teenagers.

At the moment, the next men's World Cup will be held without Russia's participation. The championship will be held from November 10 to December 2 in Indonesia, and all 24 teams that will be able to compete there for the title have already been determined. And the Russian women's junior team has a chance to get a ticket to the World Championships, which will be held from October 16 to November 3, 2024 in the Dominican Republic.
