From now on, individuals who fail to take measures to capture and manage stray animals will be held accountable under the law

On January 16, the President signed Law No. O'RQ-1019, introducing amendments and additions to the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

According to the law, violating animal management regulations in cities and other populated areas, as well as officials failing to take measures to capture and manage stray animals, will result in fines ranging from 3 to 5 basic calculation units (from 1,125,000 to 1,875,000 UZS) for individuals and from 5 to 10 basic calculation units (from 1,875,000 to 3,750,000 UZS) for officials.
It is prohibited for individuals to keep wild animals that must live in semi-free conditions, artificially created environments, or captivity. Violating this provision will lead to the confiscation of such animals and a fine ranging from 5 to 10 basic calculation units (from 1,875,000 to 3,750,000 UZS) for individuals.

If a similar violation results in harm to people's health or damage to the property of legal or physical entities, and if no criminal offense is identified, such animals will be confiscated, and a fine ranging from 30 to 50 basic calculation units (from 11,250,000 to 18,750,000 UZS) will be imposed on individuals.

Previously, this provision did not exist.
If a similar violation causes harm to people's health or damage to the property of legal or physical entities but does not constitute a criminal offense, fines will range from 10 to 15 basic calculation units (from 3,750,000 to 5,625,000 UZS) for individuals and from 15 to 30 basic calculation units (from 5,625,000 to 11,250,000 UZS) for officials.
