The Kremlin questioned the authenticity of the "audio with Trump threats."
CNN recently released an audio recording claiming that US President Donald Trump is talking about a hypothetical conversation with Vladimir Putin. In the recording, he claims to have allegedly promised to bomb Moscow if Russia invades Ukraine.

Peskov emphasized that during the period covered by the audio, there were no phone conversations between Putin and Trump, meaning the authenticity of the recording is extremely questionable.

"Is it fake - we don't know. Fake information is now much more than true information," a Kremlin spokesperson said.

He also added: "This is, as far as I understand, a period when Trump was not yet president of the United States. Therefore, here I recommend addressing your questions to the White House."

Earlier, in 2024, the WSJ had already published reports about similar threats, but Putin then stated that he remembered nothing of the sort.
