From now on, citizens of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan can enter, move and stay in the territory of the two states with an ID card for up to 60 days.

On August 25, the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of Kyrgyzstan on the Mutual Entry and Exit of Citizens (Bishkek, January 27, 2023) entered into force.

The practical use of an identification card for entry, exit, transit, movement and stay in the territory of the two states will be established from 00:00 on September 1, 2023 by mutual agreement.

In accordance with the changes introduced by the protocol, a simplified unified procedure for crossing the state border was introduced for citizens of the two states.

In particular, from now on, citizens of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan can enter, move and stay in the territory of the two states with an ID card for up to 60 days.

Citizens of Uzbekistan can enter the Kyrgyz Republic, leave it and transit to other countries with a biometric passport to travel abroad.
