How many babies were born on the first day of the New Year?

As of 5:00 PM on January 1, 2025, a total of 1,040 babies were born in Uzbekistan (within 17 hours). Of these, 492 are boys and 548 are girls.
The highest number of births was recorded in the Fergana region (154 births).
Additionally, the following regions reported notable numbers of births:
Kashkadarya region (119 births),
Tashkent city (112 births),
Samarkand region (101 births),
Surkhandarya region (89 births).
The lowest number of births was in Navoi region (18 births).
Interestingly, among the newborns, there were 7 sets of twins (a total of 15 babies): 12 were twins, and 3 were triplets.
Currently, doctors are providing high-quality medical care to all newborns in accordance with established standards.
During the ongoing holiday period in Uzbekistan, healthcare workers, including those in maternity complexes, continue to work. Specifically, 6,192 obstetricians-gynecologists, neonatologists, midwives, and nurses are on duty nationwide to serve the population.
It should be noted that in the same period in 2020, 1,111 babies were born; in 2021 — 1,086; in 2022 — 1,448; in 2023 — 1,312; and in 2024 — 1,043 babies.
