India and US settle their latest trade dispute

Ahead of the G20 summit in New Delhi, India and the US discussed the latest issues that are causing differences at the World Trade Organization. On September 8, US Trade Representative Katherine Tay said the deal would “turn over a new page” in bilateral relations.
The latest unresolved dispute between the two countries is India's restrictions on imports of certain agricultural products from the United States due to concerns about bird flu. Now New Delhi has agreed to cut tariffs on some American products, including frozen turkey, duck and a number of other products.
“This move will improve the economic prospects for American producers,” Washington says.
The White House highlighted the "close and ongoing cooperation" between the two countries.
