Iran increased gas exchange from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan

Iran has increased the daily volume of Turkmen gas supplies to Azerbaijan from 4.5-5 million cubic meters to 7-7.5 million cubic meters. Iranian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ghulam Abbas Arbob Khales said this in an interview with TASS.
"As for the supply of Turkmen gas through the territory of Iran, we must revise our contracts. But according to the agreements, we supply Azerbaijan with 4.5-5 million cubic meters of gas per day. According to the agreements between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, at present, the volume of exchange has increased to 7- 7.5 million cubic meters The supply capacity of the Serah line has increased to 20 million cubic meters per day,” the ambassador says.
Earlier media reported that Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Iran agreed to double mutual gas supplies. In November 2021, an open-ended trilateral agreement was signed in Ashgabat between Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Iran.
