Israeli sites such as air bases in Palmachim and Meron, along with high-profile locations like the Knesset and the Prime Minister's office, could be under threat. This was reported by the British newspaper The Telegraph.

Iran may target Israeli sites, prompting possible regional conflict
Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have been clear about their stance: any attack from Iran will be met with a robust response, targeting Iranian soil, which might lead to a wider regional conflict.

“Whoever harms us, we will harm them. We are prepared to meet all of the security needs of the state of Israel, both defensively and offensively,” Mr Netanyahu said.

In Washington, President Joe Biden has reiterated America's unwavering support for Israel, with hints at a joint response if Iranian aggression materializes. Meanwhile, experts stress the psychological and tactical complexities of such military engagements, noting that Iran is likely trying to avoid a full-scale war.

It should be reminded that Israeli forces on 1 April around 19:00 Tashkent time launched six missiles from F-35 fighters in the Mezzeh district in western Damascus, where the embassy and consulate of Iran are located. At least 13 people were killed, including seven Iranian military advisers, including two senior generals of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and six Syrians. The consulate building is completely destroyed. Iranian Ambassador Hossein Akbari was on the scene but was not injured.
