Japarov thanked Mirziyoyev for help in repairing a Kyrgyz military helicopter

The President of Kyrgyzstan on his Facebook page thanked the leader of Uzbekistan for the repair of the military helicopter MI-8 MTV. Japarov also recalled that Uzbekistan provided Kyrgyzstan with MI-8 MTV as humanitarian aid in 2021.
On his Facebook page, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan's leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev for help in repairing the military helicopter. According to Japarov, two more helicopters have been added to Kyrgyzstan's military aviation fleet.
"In accordance with the agreement reached by the presidents of the two countries, in 2021, the fraternal Republic of Uzbekistan provided the Kyrgyz Republic with a military helicopter MI-8MTV as a gratuitous humanitarian aid, which was accepted by our air force specialists. After that, one of the same helicopters in Kyrgyzstan's military aircraft fleet was handed over to Uzbekistan's State-owned Chirchik Aviation Repair Plant for overhaul.
The Uzbek Ministry of Defence fully undertook the repair work. And recently the relevant structures of Uzbekistan reported that our helicopter is fully repaired and equipped," said Sadyr Japarov.
Kyrgyz Defence Ministry specialists received the helicopter and delivered it along the Chirchik-Osh and Osh-Bishkek routes. At the moment, the aircraft is fully ready to perform its work.
"All this, of course, was made possible with the support and control of the President of Uzbekistan, honourable Shavkat Mirziyoyev. In this regard, I express my deep gratitude to Shavkat Miromonovich.
Thus, Kyrgyzstan's military aircraft fleet has been replenished with two more helicopters," Sadyr Japarov said.
