Kazakhstan to increase transit of Russian oil to Uzbekistan in 2024

In 2023 the transit was 154 thousand tonnes, and this year it is planned to increase to 550 thousand tonnes.
In 2024, the volume of transit of Russian oil through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan will increase from the planned 500 thousand to 550 thousand tonnes. This is reported by the press service of KazTransOil.
It is noted that in accordance with the schedule of oil supplies approved by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in January, KazTransOil JSC will provide delivery of 25 thousand tonnes of Russian oil through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Company recalls that the Pumping of Russian oil to the Republic of Uzbekistan through the system of main oil pipelines of KazTransOil JSC was started in 2017.

In 2019-2022, there was no transit of Russian oil through the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
