Uzbekistan has put forward a draft law &ldquo;On Market Surveillance&rdquo; for public discussion. The document proposes financial incentives for citizens who provide information about products that do not meet mandatory safety requirements. The draft law regulates market surveillance of non-food products. Under the document, economic operators must report violations within ten days of discovery. Ordinary citizens will also be allowed to submit such information and may receive financial rewards. Once information is received, the market surveillance authority must notify the manufacturer or supplier within five days. The Cabinet of Ministers is tasked with approving a procedure for rewarding informants within four months. In cooperation with research institutions and international experts, it will also develop within six months a methodology for calculating moral damages based on international best practices. The Supreme Court, meanwhile, will compile within three months a database of court cases from the past three years related to compensation for moral damages. Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov has described his arrest in France as a &ldquo;police mistake.&rdquo; He shared his statement on his Telegram channel. A key topic was maximizing the transit potential of the three states. It was noted that aligning existing and future transport corridors would enable the creation of a sustainable route connecting China with South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Uzbekistan reported on the construction of the China&ndash;Uzbekistan railway and the signing of a memorandum with Pakistan and Afghanistan on the Trans-Afghan Corridor. Special attention was given to developing the Middle Corridor, including the Zangezur route, and building modern logistics infrastructure in the ports of Turkmenbashi and Baku. Uzbekistan expressed readiness to reduce cargo tariffs and announced interest in creating its own ferry fleet on the Caspian Sea. The importance of engaging international donors to develop transport infrastructure was also underlined. In the energy sector, the initiative to export &ldquo;green&rdquo; energy to Europe was supported, along with prospects for joint exploration and development of Caspian hydrocarbon fields. Trade turnover between the three states has doubled in recent years, with industrial goods making up 40% of the structure. Leaders proposed preparing a Comprehensive Action Plan to develop supply chains, unify phytosanitary standards, and launch joint digital trade platforms. In the humanitarian field, a trilateral program of cultural and tourism exchanges was suggested to promote closer ties.
