Kremlin Notes “Positive Shift” in Europe’s Approach to Dialogue with Russia
World
The Kremlin has welcomed recent signals from several European countries regarding the possible resumption of dialogue with Moscow. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the remarks while commenting on statements by leaders of France, Italy and Germany.
According to Peskov, Moscow has taken note of calls from European capitals emphasizing the need to engage in dialogue with Russia to ensure stability in Europe. He said this approach fully aligns with the Kremlin’s own vision and reflects a noticeable change in Europe’s rhetoric.
At the same time, Peskov stressed that the United Kingdom’s position remains unchanged and, in Moscow’s view, continues to be destructive. He added that London shows no willingness to contribute to restoring peace, stability and predictability on the European continent.
