Leading Chinese company opens regional office in Uzbekistan

President of Uzbekistan met with chairman of Amer International, a leading Chinese company, in Beijing.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Wang Wenying, Chairman of Amer International Industrial Holding Company, at the residence reserved for him on October 17 as part of his working visit to Beijing. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
Amer International, one of the leading conglomerates in China, is engaged in projects in high technology, electronics, semiconductor industry, mining and processing industry. The company is listed in the global Fortune 500. It also has projects worth more than $60 billion in China and overseas.
Wang Wenying noted that the reform programme being implemented in Uzbekistan creates favourable conditions for foreign, including Chinese, companies and opens up wide opportunities.
The sides discussed promising projects on deep processing of copper and production of innovative and affordable products with higher added value, including electrical engineering, batteries for electric cars, microelectronics and semiconductors.
An agreement was reached on the participation of the chairman of Amer International in the work of the Foreign Investors Council and the opening of a regional office in our country, as well as the adoption of a roadmap to accelerate joint innovation projects.
